Role Overview for a Nonprofit Fundraising Specialist

Marketing and Fundraising Specialist
The Nonprofit Fundraising Specialist is responsible for driving the organization’s fundraising strategy. You will secure grant funding from various sources, analyze program data to identify needs, and innovate new funding channels like digital campaigns and social media. You will also represent UMR at networking events to foster relationships with potential donors and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure grant funding.
- Analyze program data to craft persuasive proposals and reports that align with donor priorities.
- Build and maintain a network of NGOs and stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
- Innovate new funding channels, including crowdfunding and social media strategies.
- Monitor fundraising data to track performance and adapt strategies to meet targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Nonprofit Fundraising Specialist or in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector and international development programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret program data to inform fundraising strategies.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
