Important Note on Location: This position is open to US-based applicants. However, UNOPS initially sought candidates who are nationals of Latin American countries or hold valid residence and work permits there. Key Responsibilities for ECM Associates

 

  • Administer Enterprise Applications: Manage system administration for applications like the Official Document System (ODS), Enterprise Search, and Digital Rights Management. In addition, you’ll also handle departmental applications such as the Host Country Reporting System (HCRS) and Web-based Tracking System (WBTS). Your role as an ICT Associate – ECM Remote will be central to these systems.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer 2nd and 3rd level technical support. This, consequently, includes troubleshooting operational issues and resolving data and content problems.
  • Manage System Upgrades: Support system upgrades. Always follow established change management procedures.
  • Process Service Requests: Complete service requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement Infrastructure Changes: Make changes to application and hosting infrastructure. Critically, adhere to UN ICT Standards.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep operating procedures and technical documentation up-to-date.
  • Generate Reports: Produce monthly statistics and reports on the ODS system.

Qualifications for This ICT Associate ECM Remote

 

  • Education: We require a secondary school certification with 6 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (preferably in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or a related field) with 2 years of relevant experience works. Another option is a professional or technical diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Work Experience: You need at least 2 years of experience in specific areas. This, for example, includes configuring and supporting Linux/Windows server platforms. You should also have experience developing and supporting Node.js and Express web applications. Furthermore, handling Apache Solr search platforms and JSON data is also essential. This experience is key for an ICT Associate – ECM Remote.
  • Desirable Experience (Optional): We value working experience in JavaScript and Python scripting languages. Application configuration management and hosting services are a plus. Moreover, cloud computing experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure service, is desirable.
  • Language: You must read, write, and speak fluent English.
