The Common Mission Project (CMP), a nonprofit dedicated to fostering innovation in national interest, seeks an Impact & Insights Manager to join its team. This role strengthens and scales CMP’s data infrastructure, connecting Innovation Fund disbursements to measurable program outcomes. Key Responsibilities


An Impact & Insights Manager’s work spans the full data lifecycle, from collection to communication. For instance, you will:

  • Data Management & Analysis: You will maintain and strengthen CMP’s data systems to ensure completeness and scalability. Additionally, you will analyze data to identify trends and produce quarterly and annual impact reports for leadership and partners.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: You will translate data into compelling visuals, proof points, and narratives that advance CMP’s mission. Moreover, you will provide rapid-turnaround insights to leadership for use in external communications and proposals.
  • Systems Optimization: You will enhance existing systems and build new ones where needed to support CMP’s evolving growth. Finally, you will deliver intuitive dashboards and maintain documentation to ensure the systems are sustainable and scalable.

Qualifications


  • Experience: You must have 3-5+ years of experience in data management, impact measurement, or operational analytics.
  • Skills: You should have a proven ability to reconcile unstructured data and build structured systems. Furthermore, advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is required. You should also have strong communication skills and the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data for diverse audiences.
  • Mindset: You must be comfortable operating with a startup mindset; adaptable, resourceful, and self-motivated.
  • Citizenship: Due to the nature of the work, the position requires U.S. citizenship.

Compensation & Logistics for Impact & Insights Manager


The salary range for this position for Impact & Insights Manager is $80,000 – $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, a retirement plan, PTO, and a professional development budget.

The role is remote and U.S. based, though it may require occasional travel.
