ImaGen Ventures, a core component, empowers young people as changemakers through entrepreneurship. Specifically, it supports youth in over 60 countries with training, mentorship, and funding.
The Role: Youth Ventures Consultant (Remote, USA)
This Youth Ventures Consultant position coordinates the global implementation of imaGen Ventures. Furthermore, it supports UNICEF’s broader youth entrepreneurship portfolio. You will work under the direct supervision of the Youth Engagement and Entrepreneurship Lead. The Director of Programmes provides overall guidance. Moreover, close collaboration with the GenU Programme Team and Country Offices is essential. This crucial role drives our initiatives across the United States and worldwide.

Specific Responsibilities of the Youth Ventures Consultant
As a Youth Ventures Consultant, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Global Program Coordination & Implementation
- You will support planning and implementation of key global components for imaGen Ventures. This includes, for instance, the Global Challenge and Global Incubation Week. You will also provide technical inputs, timelines, and delivery tools.
- Moreover, you will develop and implement enhanced incubation and mentorship frameworks. This strengthens post-challenge support for youth-led ventures.
- Refining and expanding the learning curriculum constitutes another core task. Notably, this involves integrating new thematic modules on green entrepreneurship, innovation, and frontier sectors.
- You will support the Entrepreneurship Lead in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting efforts. This effectively captures program outcomes and informs continuous improvement.
Country Office Support & Portfolio Growth
- You will serve as the primary liaison for UNICEF Country Offices implementing youth entrepreneurship programmes. Consequently, you will provide technical guidance and implementation support.
- You will also support designing and adapting incubation strategies for additional entrepreneurship initiatives. These include, for example, Green Rising, health entrepreneurship, and AI ventures.
- Furthermore, you will facilitate cross-country learning and collaboration through peer exchange, storytelling, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Providing technical support to UNICEF teams in mapping and engaging private sector and ecosystem actors presents another key duty. Ultimately, this informs strategies to unlock mentorship and funding opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
- You will ensure meaningful youth participation throughout programme design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Finally, you will contribute to strategic planning and resource mobilization. This sustains and expands entrepreneurship programming globally.
Key Deliverables for this Youth Entrepreneurship Consultancy
- Strategic Implementation Plan & Portfolio Note (August 28th, 2025): You will develop a strategic implementation plan for imaGen Ventures. You will also produce a portfolio contribution note summarizing alignment with GenU priorities and Country Office support.
- Global Impact Report (September 23rd, 2025): You will deliver a consolidated evaluation report. This report will capture the implementation and outcomes of imaGen Ventures and entrepreneurship portfolio contributions.
- Incubation & Mentorship Framework (November 12th, 2025): You will design a robust post-challenge incubation model and structured mentorship scheme. This model will apply to ventures supported through imaGen Ventures and beyond.
- Curriculum & Learning Tools Package (December 10th, 2025): You will update the entrepreneurship learning curriculum with modules on sustainability, innovation, green and frontier technologies. You will also launch an interactive learning series.
- Global Challenge Management (January 27th, 2026): You will provide technical support for the planning, execution, and quality review of the 2025 imaGen Ventures Global Challenge. This involves developing planning tools and coordination inputs.
- Country Office Support Toolkit (March 20th, 2026): You will develop a practical implementation toolkit. You will also provide tailored technical support to Country Offices across multiple entrepreneurship programmes.
- Global Incubation Week (April 29th, 2026): You will support the development and delivery of Incubation Week. This involves preparing technical inputs for the agenda, mentorship design, partnership engagement, and logistical planning. You will also compile a post-event insights report.
- Youth-Led Case Studies (May 18th, 2026): You will compile a collection of venture stories. These stories will highlight youth perspectives, social/environmental impact, and growth trajectories.
- Peer Exchange Facilitation (July 30th, 2026): You will co-develop a thematic module. This module will explore green and frontier-sector entrepreneurship and its relevance for youth-led ventures.
Qualifications for a Youth Ventures Consultant
Education & Language:
- An Advanced University degree (Master’s) in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Social Impact, International Development, or a related field constitutes a requirement.
- Fluency in English is essential. Working knowledge of another UN language offers an asset.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship program management, incubation support, or youth-led innovation is necessary.
- You must possess a strong understanding of social impact, venture scaling, and impact measurement frameworks.
- You should also have experience leading multi-stakeholder partnerships, particularly in youth entrepreneurship contexts.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation, prove vital.
- You must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work across cultures and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Furthermore, you must show a demonstrated ability to develop and deliver capacity-building programmes.
- Familiarity with green and frontier tech entrepreneurship will provide a distinct advantage.
