What You’ll Do
A home-based research consultancy at UNICEF requires strong analytical and self-management skills. In particular, you will:
- Conduct systematic literature reviews and desk research using academic databases.
- Assist in the development of data collection tools and perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis using statistical software (e.g., STATA, R, SPSS).
- Contribute to the drafting of research reports, policy briefs, and other knowledge products.
- Support the coordination of research meetings and communication with internal and external partners.
- Maintain and organize research data and documents in shared repositories.

Research Consultants
Qualifications for UNICEF Remote Research Consultant
- Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, or International Development is highly preferred.
- Experience: You must have a minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in designing and implementing rigorous research, preferably in a development context. In addition, you need demonstrated experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods and proficiency in using common statistical software.
- Languages: You must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in another UN language is a strong asset.
