As a subject matter expert in philanthropic trends, you will act as an authority on prospect research and wealth analysis. Therefore, your expertise as a philanthropic research specialist will be used to identify, qualify, and categorize prospects, helping to guide our fundraising teams and executive leadership. About the Senior Research Analyst Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Fundraising Operations, your duties will include using various sources to determine a prospect’s giving potential. In this role, you will also prepare biographical and wealth potential reports for fundraising teams, the Office of the President, and other CARE teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities for a Research Analyst

  • Conduct comprehensive biographical, financial, and philanthropic research on individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Furthermore, you will create tailored research deliverables and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead efforts to identify and qualify prospects for various giving pipelines, including Principal, Major, Mid-level, and Planned Giving.
  • In addition, as a senior data analyst, you will manage wealth screenings, analyze the results, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Serve as the organization’s expert on philanthropic trends and economic indicators; consequently, you will develop reports to inform strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in prospect research.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and prospect research software (e.g., iWave, LexisNexis) is required.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a clear and concise writing style.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Finally, the ability to follow ethical standards and use discretion with sensitive information is crucial for this research analyst position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant prospect research experience in a large non-profit or higher education setting.
  • Experience using Salesforce and/or NPSP.

This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $70,548.26 – $98,414.83. Although the position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, remote work locations are also possible within the United States.
