Senior Project Officer (P-4) in Paris, UNESCO

Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and identify relevant data from partners. For instance, they will support the new monitoring mechanism for the 2023 Recommendation.
- Global Monitoring: Co-lead the working group on Target 4.7 within the Global Alliance on Monitoring Learning (GAML). Furthermore, they will actively contribute to other key international groups.
- Oversight & Support: Oversee the quadrennial reporting process for the 2023 Recommendation. In addition, they will support countries in their reporting obligations and facilitate peer-learning workshops.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: The officer will undertake M&E tasks for the section. Moreover, they will contribute to the monitoring of various education programs, including the global dashboard on climate change education.
- Resource Mobilization: The officer will contribute to fundraising efforts. This includes identifying potential donors and preparing project proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Education: The role requires an advanced university degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Candidates need a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience. This includes at least three years at the international level.
- Skills: An excellent understanding of education monitoring and data analysis is key. Furthermore, the ability to produce visuals like graphs and infographics is required. Excellent writing skills in English are a must.
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of English is required, and a working knowledge of French is needed.
