Key Responsibilities for a Senior Associate, Strategic Partnerships
You will take on significant responsibilities in this remote role, contributing to our partnership growth. First and foremost, your duties include:
- Operational & Administrative Support (70%):
- Lead data input, cleanup, and maintenance across our critical internal systems (Salesforce, Google Drive, Asana, Confluence), ensuring data integrity, reliability, and consistency.
- Moreover, suggest and design process improvements to optimize system utilization for the strategic partnerships team.
- Leverage these systems to compile and analyze data and trends, thereby supporting donor solicitation, stewardship, and progress tracking.
- Enable best-in-class donor relations for major donors and partners by managing timely gift acknowledgments, reconciling payments, and supporting tax receipting.
- Furthermore, ensure accurate donor records by swiftly reviewing online/offline gifts, entering third-party payments, identifying donors, creating new accounts, and wealth screening for appropriate assignment. This is a vital aspect of your work as a senior associate, strategic partnerships.
- Assist in knowledge management and cross-functional collaboration (legal, finance, impact investing) by documenting contacts, conversations, opportunities, and deliverables in Salesforce.
- Also, create and maintain team calendars for industry conferences, partner deliverables, and marketing campaigns.
- Identify and utilize AI tools to improve team operations and tasks.
- Create, update, and maintain reports, dashboards, and lists to track OKRs for the strategic partnerships group.
- Manage multiple stakeholder requests and drive deliverables on accelerated timelines.
- Finally, support the team with travel, events, and logistical arrangements.
- Business Development Support (30%):
- Assist in prospect development; specifically, research and identify potential partners (corporations, foundations, and individuals) whose philanthropic priorities align with Kiva’s mission.
- Furthermore, collaborate with internal teams to support outreach to, cultivation, and stewardship of strategic partnership audiences.
- Monitor industry sources and networks to identify funding opportunities and track relevant philanthropic trends.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration with investment, impact, finance, and marketing/comms teams to support the development of proposals, pitches, and other partner materials. This function is key for a successful senior associate, strategic partnerships.

- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a nonprofit, philanthropic, or social enterprise environment, with a demonstrated ability to learn relevant skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 – $72,000 a year, dependent upon a candidate’s location, skills, and experience.
- Job Type: This is a permanent, full-time position.
