About the Team & Role

You will join the Investment Management & CRM Applications team, part of the foundation’s Information Technology organization. The team’s mission is to unleash the power of digital platforms to better support the foundation’s core work. As a Salesforce Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership and solution architecture support for the Salesforce platform. In this individual contributor role, you will serve as the most senior developer, guiding technical direction and leading solution design, configuration, development, and maintenance.


 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Provide Technical Leadership: You will lead a team of Salesforce Administrators, Business Systems Analysts, and Developers to ensure the ongoing operations of our enterprise Salesforce org. In addition, you will mentor team members and conduct code reviews to ensure they follow established standards.
  • Design & Deliver Solutions: You will partner with business and technical teams to design and deliver elegant, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet our customers’ needs. You will also lead technical meetings and create design documents to gain alignment and drive sound decision-making.
  • Contribute as a Developer: You will perform hands-on coding and development activities. Moreover, you will contribute as a developer for Proof-of-Concepts and lead prototype development to inform technology selection and solution design.
  • Strategic Planning & Maintenance: You will partner with leadership and Product Managers on strategic planning activities and on monitoring the effectiveness of our technology solutions. You will also stay current on new Salesforce features to ensure we are using the platform as effectively as possible.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

  • Experience & Skills: You should have a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience. Similarly, you will need a solid understanding of data structures, data models, and schemas, as well as the DevOps landscape on the Salesforce platform.
  • Technical Expertise: You must hold both Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Platform Developer certifications. Therefore, you must have deep, practical experience administering a globally deployed Salesforce org. This includes expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and the Salesforce API.
  • Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver, a skilled communicator, and a great teammate. You must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to adjust your communication style to match your audience, especially when working with non-technical partners.
  • Eligibility: You must have legal authorization to work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.

 

Compensation & Logistics for Salesforce Technical Lead

The salary range for this role is $154,200.00 to $231,400.00 USD. However, for candidates in Seattle and Washington, D.C., the range is $168,200.00 to $252,200.00 USD. We typically hire new employees with a salary between the range minimum and the midpoint, depending on their job-related skills, experience, and expertise.
