Job Overview

Remote Opportunity: Contribute to humanitarian efforts in Türkiye.

Are you a dedicated professional with a background in health, gender, or humanitarian protection? The UNFPA Türkiye Country Office is seeking a Protection Consultant to join its team and support the humanitarian response for refugees. This part-time, home-based consultancy offers a unique chance to strengthen essential protection services, provide technical guidance, and help build the capacity of service providers on the ground.

Indeed, you will play a vital role in ensuring that vulnerable refugees—including survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), those living with HIV, and other marginalized groups—receive the support they need to live safely and with dignity.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure Service Quality: You will provide technical support to maintain and improve the delivery of protection services. First, this includes facilitating weekly case committee meetings, reviewing case files, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvements. Additionally, you will coach service providers to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Build Capacity: Consequently, you will create and implement a comprehensive capacity-building plan for service providers. This involves designing training modules on critical topics like GBV core skills, data protection, and cash-for-GBV workflows. Furthermore, you will onboard new staff and provide ongoing supervision for both frontline workers and hotline responders.
  • Monitor and Report: In addition, you will oversee monitoring activities and provide technical inputs to UNFPA’s data management systems. You’ll conduct monthly data quality checks, prepare post-distribution monitoring reports, and organize focus group discussions to gather actionable insights. Similarly, you will participate in online protection coordination meetings to share trends and service updates.
  • Contribute to Donor Relations: Moreover, you will produce technical inputs for donor reports and help consolidate data into clear, compelling narratives. Likewise, you will contribute to the development of new concepts and proposals.
