About the Role
As the Senior Program Officer, you will join the Discovery & Translational Sciences (DTS) team, which focuses on catalyzing innovation to address global health inequity. Consequently, your mission is to apply modern translational toxicology thinking to global health R&D, working cross-functionally with discovery scientists and product developers. Ultimately, you will ensure the safe and efficient progression of candidate therapeutics, vaccines, and biologics from preclinical models into human clinical studies.

Core Responsibilities
In addition, your core responsibilities include:
- Strategy Development: Shape and implement nonclinical development strategies for global health products.
- Investment Management: Manage a substantial portfolio of grants and contracts, specifically making go/no-go decisions on projects.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide toxicological expertise to internal teams and external partners, consequently evaluating preclinical data and risk assessments.
- Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic relationships with external partners, including CROs, academic centers, and regulatory bodies.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A PhD, DVM, or equivalent in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Furthermore, you should have 15+ years of experience leading toxicology programs in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
- Expertise: In fact, you must have proven knowledge of GLP-compliant toxicology study design and regulatory documentation (e.g., IND/CTA/NDA/BLA).
- Skills: As a result, you must demonstrate excellence in scientific writing and communication, with experience collaborating across scientific and organizational boundaries.
