About Invisible Hand
Invisible Hand is, to begin with, an agency seeking a part-time Business Development Manager / Director. You will, therefore, lead our growth efforts, acquiring new clients and increasing revenue. This, of course, involves identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and pitching our services.
The right candidate will, moreover, lead this process with credibility and confidence. This business development lead will, in addition, build strong internal and external relationships, expand the agency’s network of potential clients, and employ a strategic, targeted approach to growth.
What the Business Development Manager Will Do
First and foremost, you will sell Invisible Hand’s offerings to brands, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations.
Agency Growth & Prospecting
- You will, for example, cultivate relationships with new-to-agency industries and markets.
- Furthermore, you will build and maintain target lists for prospective clients, considering the agency’s strengths and existing network.
- In a similar vein, you will develop strong, growth-oriented relationships with key internal and partner stakeholders at target companies and institutions.

Remote Business Development Manager
Project Leadership
- To be sure, you will deliver first-rate materials for an audience of industry leaders and C-Suite executives.
- Subsequently, you will help draft memos, proposals, pitch decks, and other materials in collaboration with internal teams. You will ensure the products, consequently, meet the client’s needs.
- Moreover, you will maintain an accurate database of leads and prospects for relationship management. This includes, of course, gifting, newsletter audience, and social media following.
- Most importantly, you will own the full sales cycle process. You will, indeed, create timelines and task lists for pitches, memos, and introductions. You will, furthermore, lead scheduling with prospective clients.
Strategic Reputation Building
- You will, for example, landscape industry events, speaking opportunities, and networking for agency participation.

Business Development Manager: What We’re Looking For
For this Business Development Manager role, we require a professional with a strong track record.
- Experience: For instance, you have at least five years of relevant experience. You must also, moreover, have experience leading business development for services, such as agencies.
- Network: Furthermore, you have a demonstrated network in one or more of the following areas: corporate clients, philanthropy, or family offices.
- Strategic Thinking: Similarly, you are a strategic thinker and leader who can act as a trusted partner and advisor to clients.
- Professionalism: In addition, you exhibit professionalism and integrity, leading by example and treating people with respect. You also, naturally, seek and give constructive feedback.
- Communication: Likewise, you have excellent written and oral communication skills. You are, moreover, a great listener, communicate concisely, and can present to any audience.
- Adaptability: On the other hand, you can manage competing demands and the moving pieces of multiple complex projects. Still, you remain unflappable under deadline pressure.
