Control Risks is seeking a detail-oriented remote business continuity specialist to support a leading global consumer goods client. This is a 6-month contract role with a salary range between $55,000 – $62,500 for the engagement. In this embedded consulting position, you will, therefore, help strengthen the client’s resilience by reviewing and enhancing existing continuity plans, facilitating risk assessments, and supporting continuity exercises across key business units. This opportunity, consequently, requires a strong understanding of industry best practices, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The Role: Your Impact as a Continuity Professional
You will play a vital role in building the client’s resilience. The position is a full-time contract for 6 months. Control Risks supports hybrid working arrangements, and, in fact, emphasizes the value of in-person time in the New York office while also supporting flexible and remote work.
Your responsibilities will, moreover, include:
- Implementation: You will assist with developing, maintaining, and implementing resiliency solutions. This includes, specifically, business continuity plans, business impact analysis, and documentation of procedures.
- Strategic Partnership: In addition, you will partner with critical business functions to identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of interruptions and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific changes.
- Collaboration: As a result, you will also collaborate with the client’s IT teams to integrate business continuity processes and templates within their SmartSuite platform.
- Reporting and Analysis: Furthermore, you will prepare reports to summarize testing activities, including descriptions of goals, planning, scheduling, execution, results, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Special Projects: Ultimately, you will participate in support of various other initiatives and ad-hoc projects to enhance business resilience.
- Compliance: Finally, you will ensure alignment with recognized BCP standards (e.g., ISO22301, DRI, Gartner, etc.).

To qualify for this continuity professional position, you must have 6 or more years of experience implementing and managing corporate business continuity or risk management programs.
We are looking for someone with:
- Technical Skills: For example, you should have experience with commercial Business Continuity tools. You must also have experience managing and analyzing data from various sources to align with strategic goals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people, and technology challenges to identify risks and opportunities.
