This remote communications and social media consultant role is a vital part of our team, helping us drive our mission forward.

We are therefore looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our remote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our advocacy campaigns, boosting our digital presence, and, consequently, promoting the vital work of women-led organizations in crisis-affected countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management: Work closely with WPHF leadership to enhance their social media presence, develop content, and manage engagement on key platforms.
  • Advocacy Campaigns: Support the development and launch of advocacy campaigns, creating compelling social media components to drive action and awareness.
  • Partnership Promotion: Promote collaborations with donors, influencers, and media partners through strategic social media initiatives.
  • Content Creation & Analytics: Assist with creating social media assets, coordinating with graphic designers, and providing regular analytics reports to senior leadership.

This is a home-based consultancy position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A professional with at least 2 years of experience in communications and, moreover, a minimum of 1 year in social media strategy. This remote communications consultant must also have a strong drive for results.
  • A Master’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field (a Bachelor’s degree with 2 additional years of experience is also accepted).
  • Demonstrated experience in Women, Peace, and Security is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • A creative problem-solver who is adept at working independently and, similarly, as part of a collaborative team.
