Essential Qualifications for This Archiving Specialist Role

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • An Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Library Science, Archival Studies, Information Management, or Mass Communications.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in information management, communications, or multimedia production, with a significant focus on audiovisual archiving and media library management.
  • Proficiency in database management systems and, as well as, web-based distribution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • A collaborative spirit and, importantly, a commitment to teamwork.
  • Fluency in English is essential; however, knowledge of another UN official language is a definite advantage.
