USA for UNHCR is the U.S. partner of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Concerned American citizens founded us. Therefore, we operate as a non-profit organization. Our headquarters are in Washington, D.C. Our mission involves protecting and supporting refugees. Specifically, we mobilize resources, elevate awareness, and drive action. We do this through a strong network of supporters across the United States.
Furthermore, we inform Americans about the plight of refugees. We also advocate for their protection. By extension, we help U.S. individuals and communities understand the challenges. Over 120 million people worldwide have been forcibly displaced. This understanding empowers them to act. Consequently, we bridge the gap between urgent global needs and American generosity. We ensure vital aid, protection, and durable solutions. These solutions reach those who must flee their homes due to violence, conflict, and persecution.
Ultimately, our vision is a world where every displaced person can build a better future. We achieve this primarily through fundraising for UNHCR’s life-saving work.
